Motivation:
Product design senior capstone class
Description:
Vulcan is a butane powered, hand held, wire-to-wire soldering device. This was my team’s final project for my capstone product design class. I was responsible for many parts of the solder feed mechanism (solder feed tubes, axels for the gears, pulley, and more) as well as general team dynamics and project management.
Lessons Learned:
I learned a lot about working with other people and general project management. I also learned a decent amount on rapid prototyping and how to effectively budget. I also got significantly better at making shafts with slots on the lathe.
