Curved Scissor Lift (2023)

Motivation:

I was inspired by the Hoberman sphere and by this curved scissor mechanism. This class was a project for Alex Slocum’s Fundamentals of Precision Machine Design.

Description:

I designed and built two versions of this scissor lift as well as looked at different geometric calculations for the final curvature of the lift and other design mechanisms.
