Motivation:
I wanted to learn to use the router and wanted to make some nice gifts for some friends. I actually made 4 of the stands and fields but only have pictures of one. The sign was just for practice with the router. I also wanted to make a project where different mediums fit together.
Description:
The wooden base was done with a small shopbot in two parts and then glued together. The other piece was designed in illustrator and laser etched.
Lessons Learned:
Routers are just short and flat mills. Sanding after gluing makes woof projects look nicer. The flatness of the wood and the levelness of the bed is important in making multiple of the same parts.
